A 4-man Delegation of Center for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, an international anti-corruption
NGO based in Lokoja, Kogi State, has paid a courtesy visit to
Owan West Council Chairman, Hon. Frank Ilaboya.
The delegation was led by Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, its Executive Director.
According to Salih, they were at the Chairman's office to pay an advocacy visit and notify him of conferment of an award as one of the- Nigerian Most Ethically Responsible Chairmen in 100 LGAs in Nigeria.
He stated that Owan West was among the 8 LGAs that met their ethical standard in Edo State.
He further said that the investiture of Ilaboya as an Ambassador of Ethics and Man of Conscience to be issued a public officer performance appraisals score card will be conferred on him on 9th of May, 2019 at the NGO's Secretariat, Lokoja, Kogi State.
He revealed that the LGA will also be issued with a Certificate of Credence at the award ceremony.
Salih, while briefing the Chairman on what the NGO entails, pointed out that, it is skilled in their field of endeavors and patriotic in their service to humanity and the Nation, saying they are
"citizens genuinely Committed to the making of a new Nigeria that generation yet on born would in the nearest future be proud of."
Responding, Ilaboya, the Council Boss thanked them for the advocacy visit. He said he was pleased seeing
selfless and young minds pursuing the course of redirecting the nation and charged them to keep upholding the initiative of promoting a better Nigeria. He expressed gratitude for the honour and assured them of his continuous desire to ensure that ethical standards of public office are upheld at all times in the LGA.
Other members of the delegation include: Mr. Yahaya Ihiabe Musa, North West Coordinator; Mr. Ismail Owuri, North East Coordinator and Mr. Promise Olaniyi, who serves as the South West Coordinator of the NGO.
